Event Description

As part of the programme of the first Aberdeen City & Shire Film Festival, animators the 'Brothers McLeod' will be running a Q&A and screening session.
The 'Brothers McLeod' are Greg and Myles McLeod. They have been producing work together since 2000 and created “Fuggy Fuggy”, wrote and directed CBBC’s “Pedro and Frankensheep” and have produced a series of adverts with Aardman Animations. Their recently completed film “Codswallop” has just been in competition at the prestigious Annecy Animation Festival and they are currently at work on “the Moon Bird” a 4mations Digital Shorts commission.

They will be discussing their influences and working practice with Peacock's Adam Proctor as well as screening a selection of their work including “Codswallop”.

25th July, 6.30pm at Peacock Visual Arts, 21 Castle Street, Aberdeen, AB11 5BQ

During their visit the Brothers McLeod will also be running workshops for local young people as well as Barnardo’s ‘home from home’ project which enables children who care for a parent or sibling with a disability to have time out from the responsibility of caring. The animation workshops have been made possible through funding from Creative Identities. Creative Identities is an 18 month initiative funded by the Scottish Government using £1.2 million from the proceeds of crime, managed in partnership with Scottish Screen and the Scottish Arts Council.
