The Emergent Game Technologies - European Academic Game Summit will be held at the Intelligent Systems Research Centre, University of Ulster, Magee Campus, Northern Ireland on the 7th-11th September 2009.
The Game summit has an International line-up of speakers from the USA, UK. France, Germany, Sweden and will offer a series of lectures, hands-on tutorials and lab sessions from some of the top video games middleware providers in the world including Emergent Game Technologies, Allegorithmic, Illuminate Labs, Natural Motion, NVIDIA and Xaitment.
Emergent Gamebryo LightSpeed has being used to create high-quality titles for PLAYSTATION 3, Xbox 360, PC and Wii by publishers including Disney, Google, Electronic Arts (EA), Take Two, Namco and THQ.
Gamebryo LightSpeed offers game designers a cross-platform, cross-genre solution that has rapid prototyping, rapid iteration and real-time updates to simplify game technology creation. Gamebryo has been used in more than 250 shipped games titles from downloadable casual games to first-person shooters to massively multiplayer online games and has another 150 titles currently in development.

The summit is for academics, students and industry interested in the video games development process and looking for exposure to and practical experience in a range of world class games middleware products.
The objective of the summit is to raise awareness of the benefits of using Gamebryo LightSpeed and third party tools for teaching as part of a games development course.
The event will provide practical advice, tutorials and demonstrations from educators and industrial experts in this area.
The summit is jointly organised and hosted by the Intelligent Systems Research Centre and the School of Computing & Intelligent Systems, Faculty of Computing and Engineering
and co-sponsored by the University of Ulster, Office of Innovation Knowledge Club Program.
There is no fee to attend but you must register as places are strictly limited.
