My sister and I came first in the annual Castlegregory Wheelbarrow Race in County Kerry in 1993. Awesome I know. But that was nothing compared to the glory of being part of the Speakeasy production team when we won two awards at the U.S International Film & Video Festival recently. One was for a Scottish Government DVD-ROM called We Can And Must Do Better, which looked at looked after children's experience of education in Scotland, and the other was for Doing The Right Thing On a Difficult Day - an inspirational examination of British troops' heroics in Afghanistan. See our blog for more on this, along with some other pearls of wisdom from the Speakeasy contingency....www.speak.co.uk/blog

What a nice group, I'm really happy how this year has gone so far because in the months of June I won two things, I thought I might share...

I won the (apparently) first ever service design medal for graduates called the Medici Service design medal for my project PO Box which is http://afterthepostoffice.wordpress.com

I also won, with the help of an amazing group, Social Innovation camp with http://mypolice.org

Lets hope for more.

I once won best questions asked on a trip to the BP refinery when I was 10. I got a yellow certificate and a smiley face, by far my best win ever hehe!

Won a Royal Television Society award in July in Leeds for the score for ITV's 2009 Series Unforgiven.
It also was 'best writer' and 'best series'.
Joy

Also 3rd prize in a piano contest when I was 10 years old (there were only three entries)

Erm, some of my films have won awards:

"Run, Tony, Run!" won BAFTA Scotland Best New Screenplay 2006

"Mono" won BBC Three Filmmakers Award 2006

"Half Way Home" nominated for Scottish Documentary Award 2008.

Oh, and I am a former CiB Scotland Communicator of the Year Award winner.

Blimey, sounds terribly like trumpet blowing!

Thanks Kate!

Hello Hello: Why don't you write us a little ditty about it and add it to the discussions section above - maybe a pic of your prize to boot?
