James, there are a number of regulars at the meet who would be happy to help you, including myself, but it's quite a complicated issue on a medium such as this. Are you likely to be able to attend another meet, at which you should be able to talk to a number of netbook users and gain lots of info keyed to your specific needs?

Ok not quite sure if this is the right place but you guys are more tech minded than me and I need advice. I noticed one of those little asus netbooks on the table and wondered are they worth it? I do my own lesson plans, teaching manuals and some photo work and need something to work on. I was considering a netbook because its portable and I am on the move alot, across scotland and the uk (hopefully further afield) do you guys reccomend them? Advice on this gratefull recieved after all I am just a make up artist and y'all are so much better at this than me.

It's at level 5 of The Lighthouse in the Doocot cafe on Mitchell Lane (the alleyway next to All Saints if you're coming from Buchanan Street).

Members of Glasgow Coffee Meet might be interested in getting involved in the AmbITion Scotland project as Specialist Business Advisors. AmbITion Scotland needs the support of the cultural sector's most senior advisors experienced in the field of business strategy; innovation; technology; audience development; change management and digital content development.

Information on the tendering process is available to view on the GGA website: http://www.gga4arts.co.uk/news

I checked as carefully as I could with everyone present (except Andy Bright who left before I started asking) and opinion to remain at Doocot would appear to be unanimous by all who were present.

Food was good, staff were friendly and helpful ... such a massive change from our experience of Stereo each week!
