Infurious' comic reader is currently used in the NBC Universal App: Heroes Comic Reader which is currently only available in the US App Store. I'll include a link when there is one for the UK Store.

No one has actually done a pimp-app which would sell really well in the urban market in USA and UK. Hip-hop, '70s funk sound-tracks and 'kitsch' blaxploitation. Its a retro-shift away from GTA, Car-Jack etc. It would generate heat in the 'tabloid moralising' market but the term and its uaage has now tipped into mainistream.
The Edinburgh publisher Canongate already has a paperback best-seller of Iceberg Slim's Pimp.

But no app that' I'm aware of

Two friends of mine have worked on something like this in the past.

One project, DotEoaNV (Detectives on the Edge of a Nervous Breakdown) was a text game.
The other was motion graphics telling a story. I really should pimp them together....

The Carjack Streets engine could easily be re-skinned for a Shaft style blaxploitation game, We could look at using unsigned bands to do a 70's sound track. Cool cars, Flares, and Gil Scott Heron -what more do you need.

The revolution will not be televised- but you can play it on you iPhone.

Joe, when an app is as good as blipfoto, happy to see it pimped.

Shameless Pimp punt: Armada

We've just developed an app to upgrade (pimp!) a previous Digital Heritage & Tourism Trail. Much fun.. great scope... Can't wait to get on with the next one. Anything new and noteworthy in relation to apps with Digital Circles Matt?

Well, one thing is interesting...is this network

http://apps.ie

A collaborative yet unfunded network of people, gathering together to co-brand and co-pimp their apps. As a direct result of my work :) Go me!

Seriously though - Irish (North and South) can register their apps there (it goes live in a few days) and the encouragement is to get on there, co-brand, use it as a reference site.
