@Stuart - Was at a technical discussion on Android last night and by the sounds of it Apple have quite a few more years before it registered on their Radar. Still as long as a some pointless games are their top selling apps there is opportunity to take some share away.

Latest The continuing success of the iPhone helped Apple report Q2 profits up 15% to $1.21bn, well above Wall Street forecasts, on sales up 9% to $8.16bn. Chief financial officer Peter Oppenheimer said: “Given what’s going on around us, we couldn’t be happier.” More than double the amount of iPhones were sold as in the year-ago quarter, 3.8m, with 11m iPods sold, a 3% year-on-year increase. But there was a 3% drop in the number of Macintosh computers sold, 2.2m. Revenues of between $7.7bn-$7.9bn were forecast for the current quarter. Shares climbed almost 3% after the announcement.

Don't have an iPhone due to horrible contract with 3 that I'm stuck with (gutted!) therefore won't be joining.

Had to ween myself off a small Rolando addiction. Can't endure the guilt when I loose a Rolando :-(

For anyone who has several days of play time to spare, the game Rolando is a peach. Designed by London based Hand Circus, it's definitely got my vote for the best iPhone game so far (not that I've tested many, honest)

I've developed on every major game platform- N64,PC, Xbox Playstation, etc. The iphone is the best yet. We have around 7 iPhone games released/in development- and with more to follow.

We've got some PRs to come out on the iphone stuff in NI very soon - will also see about getting a Digital Circle trip over to Scotland. Something to 'do' tomorrow.

Yup the word "Platform" is crucial Matt. Developers are key to all of this as more value moves towards software. Developers are central to the mobile handset value chain.
