Members of Pocket Place Scotland might be interested in getting involved in the AmbITion Scotland project as Specialist Business Advisors. AmbITion Scotland needs the support of the cultural sector's most senior advisors experienced in the field of business strategy; innovation; technology; audience development; change management and digital content development.

Information on the tendering process is available to view on the GGA website: http://www.gga4arts.co.uk/news

I'm from the Scottish Centre for Enabling Technologies (SCET), we offer various services the main one being Technology based feasibility studies (Govt funded > £5000). We have a range of technical skills in house including iPhone dev, Web Dev, dot net, etc and a host of other skills we can tap into via our university partners. So if there is anything we can do to help just let us know.

I look forward to seeing what happens at pocket place.

Thanks to Jamie for the invitation. I'm hoping I might be able to assist Pocket Place by running a live (free and in-person) Amplified event in Glasgow where mobile products, ideas and problems can be discussed in round-table contexts. Let me know if you're interested. Trying to get The Lighthouse to host us for that event.
Cheers,
Joanne

Hey Folks... thanks to Jamie for setting this up on 38 minutes. We are keen for all developers planning in creating content, applications and platforms for mobiles to sign up for more information. The portal can act as a gateway for any Scottish company or developer to present their latest apps etc. Some of my thoughts have been to create Scotlands own mobile app store and allow companies to share/licence tools/content to create a bigger ecosystem. Its not been done anywhere else !!

Great idea and one that Scotland really needs. I'm not a developer but as a commited user/consumer with industry interest in seeing great ideas flourish in Scotland, the more the platform can stiumlate 'real opportunities' rather than yet more 'conferences' the better. I'm sad so I like 'best of' lists too.
