Members of Scottish Creative Industries might be interested in getting involved in the AmbITion Scotland project as Specialist Business Advisors. AmbITion Scotland needs the support of the cultural sector's most senior advisors experienced in the field of business strategy; innovation; technology; audience development; change management and digital content development.

I do agree with Frank's comments about places A & B as it can be time wasting. It can though be a help clarifying thoughts, ideas and ways forward by having to structure business plans, etc and from the feedback. Our company has been bootstrapping since we set up end of 2006 and it is both exhausting and exhilarating. It helps to be a team and have internal support. I am also in the crowd sourcing group here as we set up our anarkikangels initiative up last year, officially launching last December to both fund and develop innovative virtual touch software applications for the creative industries. We need new business models to not only survive but more so to grow, and I see forming a like-minded community as a very positive step, hopefully in the right direction.

Exhibitions Space for artists of Hi - Just to let you know that I am running a small art gallery (King Street Gallery) in Broughty Ferry Dundee. King Street situated parallel to a beautiful harbour, a thriving place in summer. I would like it to be a hub for artists who are producing quality work and are finding it hard to get low cost exhibition space .. I need the support of everyone and anyone to help me keep this going. So far it is proving to be a bit of an inspirational place for many in our community. I have been totally self funding it since September 1st 2008 but I cannot go on forever ... which is why I am seeking more permanent artist associates to share the space with me ... its a really great little space with loads of bright natural light and lots of sunshine .. (when it comes!) - If you are an artist and looking for more permanent space to exhibit your work I would love to hear from you ... I am flexible and will work with what suits you but as a guide - 1 associate - pays £300/mth, 2 will pay £200/mth 3 - £150/mth this is the maximum number of associates I can accept - obviously 4 will bring our monthly outgoings/xpenses to just £150 each ..... the space is also suitable for small groups for workshops we are starting our own in March. Look forward to hearing from you!
