I was wondering with all the cuts to funding across the arts/creative industry in 2011 and that are sure to follow if there are still any trends in projects being funded successfully for the next…Continue

Comment by Richard S. Browne on February 21, 2013 at 16:23 Hello folks, I'm passing this on for a group of talented filmmakers I know:

I've worked with Shaun and Tim on a number of occasions and know them both to be very talented and creative filmmakers. One of their previous films picked up the BAFTA New Talent Award for Cinematography (No More Shall We Part, 2012) and they're both talents to watch for the future. If you can, please help get this project under way.
Cheers
Richard

Comment by Scott Mackay on April 27, 2012 at 15:06 Advice required. I don't know if this is the right group so if you see this posted elsewhere then please forgive the duplication. Do any media/film types have opinions or ideas on the Galway Film Fair - we are very strapped for cash and want to know if others thought it worth the money?
Comment by Gavin Robertson on April 13, 2012 at 16:42 The main organiser of Startup Weekend, Michael Hayes, also curates the Startup Digest for Scotland. This lists startup events and you can also subscribe to other areas such as London or Silicon Valley to see what's happening there: http://startupdigest.com/
Comment by Gavin Robertson on April 13, 2012 at 16:36 Just repeating that StartupWeekend Glasgow is next month with tickets going very well. There's a new post about what goes on over the weekend and why you should be there.

Comment by Gavin Robertson on July 7, 2011 at 12:01 Great post on TechCrunch about 15 EU investors finally agreeing on a standardterm sheet for startups. This is a huge issue for many startups who find themsleves up to their ears in legal bills before signing off on a finance round; to the extent that if the funding falls through they could go bust. Would be brilliant if Scottish Enterprise could sign up to this agreement or similar.
