DAY OF THE DEAD is Mexico's great contribution to the art and culture of dying. If you are interested in travelling to Mexico you may want to apply for the UK Young Screen Entrepreneur 2009 (UKYSE 09).
The award is for young entrepreneurs with at least three years professional experience of working within the ‘screen’ industry by which we include feature film, documentary, shorts, television production and animation - development, production, post-production and distribution.
This competition is an amazing opportunity for six finalists to undertake a tour of the screen industry of Mexico, an exciting emerging economy whose potential as a market cannot be ignored. They will meet key players, gain an understanding of how business is done there and have the chance to extend international business networks.
The panel of judges this year is chaired by David Parfitt.
As well as the prestige of being named UK Young Screen Entrepreneur 2009 and all that this brings with it, the winner will receive £5,000 for a collaborative project with Mexico.
Applications are now open and close on 21 September. For further information please
