FanDuel is a fast-growing Edinburgh based company building web-based fantasy sports games. We run a game platform based on Java, and connect to users via an interactive Javascript web application served by PHP. We aim to provide the best product in the market to our quickly-growing userbase, and we are growing our development team to achieve that.
Right now we are looking for Web Developers to join our team as soon as possible. You will help us speed up the site and deliver new features. You must be motivated and productive with experience in building robust high-volume web applications. Essential skills are :
* Solid commercial web-development experience
* Experience of building complex Javascript applications using AJAX and JQuery or similar libraries
* Understanding of principled object oriented design in PHP, Java or C++
* Experience of a continuous deployment environment, with source control and managed releases * Ability to work in a highly-collaborative Agile team.
Desirable skills would be :
* Advanced PHP structural features such as namespacing
* Linux systems administration, including basic scripting
* SQL queries and optimizing for MYSQL
* Test-driven development and continuous integration systems

All our developers have the option to work remotely 2 days per week.
