We are looking for a superstar producer/business champion for our new project, code-named CQD. It is a new knowledge-sharing website broadly in the area of arts/popular culture/literature. It is a Mint Digital project backed by Channel 4 and Arts Council.

CQD has initial funding for a year. This is intended to get CQD launched and running with momentum. The aim is that CQD becomes a not-for-profit, commercially self-sustaining enterprise. There will be two core staff at set-up: you and a Community Editor.

The role is like being founder of a tech startup: you will be encouraged to push against boundaries, duck-and-dive and never take 'no' for an answer. You will want to make CQD thrive, come what may.

In terms of career, you may currently be a web producer or a tech entrepreneur or at a start-up. Alternatively, you may be in the arts or theatre or perhaps in marketing. To be honest, your background isn't vital: the key attributes we are looking for are intelligence and the ability to make thing happen.

The bottom line is, we are looking for someone who will live and breathe CQD to ensure it becomes a superb product. It will be your baby to nurture into a huge, international success.

If you are interested, please leave a comment below or email cqd@mintdigital.com. More info at http://mintdigital.com/jobs

Hi Andy

A chap I would highly recommend is Dave Sharp, he works with technology start-ups helping to create strategic roadmaps, sits on the board of a number of the Digital Cities in the UK, is a luminary from the games development world, is tenacious, a creative problem solver, billiant at relationship building, more contacts than you could shake a stick at and makes thing happen. He's also not far from Glasgow.
