What is your main line of business?
I am special- I think these days though it isn't about being special, it's about getting the chance to show an employer how special you are. Those chances are quite difficult to get, and it can be dispiriting.
Tell us what you're passionate about....
I am a runner with seven months experience working in the corporate film industry, at Speakeasy Productions Ltd. I also tutor film-making classes for children at the Edinburgh Filmhouse, East Lothian Council and Leith Academy, and I am trying to land my first runner job in Scottish television. I am fascinated by transmedia content and believe we are living in a rich era for creating and exploiting new digital platforms, with which to produce
televisual content for. I think my skills and enthusiasm would offer a lot to a production team. I am a recent graduate from a Scottish university and have been living in Scotland now for five years; coming from south of the border, I think I have a unique perspective on youth in Scotland today.
What brings you to 38minutes?
I love film-making, but I generally love production work in any form and at any level, Jack-of-all trades-esque.

Looking for a suitable, free audition space in central Glasgow

Hi all,

Sorry to post a very dull request on here but if you don't ask you don't get - I'm currently looking for a suitable space in central glasgow to hold auditions for a short at the end of May. As we're working to an extremely tight budget it would be great to get this space for free, and we'd only need to use it for about 3 - 6 hours.

If anyone can help or suggest anywhere, please let me know.

Thanks for your time!

Falling for Fitzgerald - A Crowd Funding Experiment

INT. PARTY, KITCHEN - NIGHT

My name’s Fitzgerald. I like dogs, I hate my family and I like

complaining about perfectly friendly people with other people -

Hey Jackie, thanks for your message- good to know I'm not talking to myself! The film's coming along nicely, the screenplay's ready and I'm starting to approach casting agents and potential venues. I'm using www.amyhawes.com to keep everyone updated about the film, as well as twitter and the fan page on facebook.

Don't know if you heard but I'm trying to raise a budget of £1,500 using IndieGoGo - here's the link: http://www.indiegogo.com/Falling-for-Fitzgerald. If you have any advice as to how I can get more people to see that link, or any other funding ideas, I'd be extremely willing to hear them! Cheers, Amy
