I project manage TRC media's pioneering digital media initiative Cross Creative, a 9 month programme for media companies looking to expand their knowledge and networks beyond their own specialism and connect with top creatives from across multi-media.

The programme explores the main opportunities and challenges in the multi-media arena and our aim is to instil in our delegates an entrepreneurial approach to the possibilities, and partnerships, in future media. It runs from August 09 til April 10 and will again include an inspiring trip to Silicon Valley to meet with some of the digital world's biggest players and some really exciting, innovative start-ups.

Collaboration Pitfalls

If you, like many in the current climate, are looking at expanding your digital horizons by collaborating rather than hiring you'll need to be aware of the pitfalls and legal implications.

Still places available on the morning of Tuesday 22nd September for Pinsent Mason's third (excellent) LAW Workshop at TRC media/Channel 4's offices in Glasgow.

Different models for collaboration, the human factor - picking the right partner, legal issues common to all collaboration models… Continue

It was great to see several 38 minuters join us for our recent first workshop in our Legal Advisory Workshops (THE L.A.W. We are again teaming up with ‘legal eagles’ at Pinsent Mason to deliver a worksh… Continue

Mapping Digital Scotland

Was looking a few weeks back at how successfully this site has grown (well done Darcie) and thinking to myself that it would be really nice to be able to see at a glance where everyone is geographically.

Digital Rights and Wrongs

Tuesday 14th July 2009

0900 – 1200

227 West George Street, Glasgow G2 2ND

It's vital for digital media companies to know exactly what is and isn't allowed when you want to use other people's intellectual property....or when they want to use yours. What are the rules and what are the risks? Do you really know your online rights?

TRC is holding a short series of Legal Advisory Workshops (THE LAW SERIES) to guide creative digital businesses through the issues and the… Continue

thanks Carole. The BART set up looks really great and I will definitely be looking to contact them for an API. They're using the same schema which is ideal as well. Appreciate the thought and note - g

Morning Carole, I think I might be a Fox's Treacle Crunch (just spotted your comments about biscuit-tin).

Glad you like Peggle. It's almost obscenely addictive and definitely worth the purchase price. The other one I think you'd *adore* (it's pc only though...) is the Grow series. All you do is click on the objects on each side of the window. You have to click on them in the right order.

Give it a go (at a point where losing four-five hours won't matter too much)

Have you got loads of Flickr photos?

Get reaquainted with them in this simple site called Biscuit Tin.

http://www.biscuit-tin.com/

Done by a lovely chap called Brendan Dawes (www.madebymn.co.uk) who is a great digital designer who loves real touchy feely experiences too and is a big fan of brown paper and string.

Oh and I reckon if I was a biscuit I might be a Party Ring.

What would you be?

Had a giggle this morning in the office at www.yearbookyourself.com
- interesting approach to brand tie-ins with great viral potential. Might feels a little forced with the brands but hey it's making money and I certainly had a strange comlusive urge to share the fairly grotesque resulting images with 'close' friends... and 38minuters!
