Tell us what you're passionate about....

As well as being the founder of 38minutes, I started NoTosh Limited in 2009, a consultancy helping people understand how to make compelling products that delight, online, in mobile and in games. We have a particular passion for anything designed to woo teen and tween audiences and users, and a rollodex of the North-UK digital media sector to make you weep. We work with the public and private investment sector to identify bright new talent and push through investments.

I was the first recruit of Channel 4's Innovation for the Public Fund, 4iP, working with digital and television companies across Northern Ireland, Scotland and the North East of England. I had a blast, making some great products and helping discover some superb startups.
What brings you to 38minutes?
I want to help more startups get better at honing their ideas into something that larger groups are delighted to use.

[ #ghc GameHorizon ]: Nils-Holfer Henning on Innovation in Browser Games

I've been at Game Horizon Conference in Newcastle this week. Here are some the highlights from Nils' talk on Browser-based games.

Browser-based games go for the lowest common entrance point possible: Choose a game; Register; Play. No download, no installation. This low barrier to entry has led to the $12b browser game industry being as…

Hi Ewan,

I noticed some chat about the Digital Economy Act on the network. We recently interviewed Valerie Surgenor, IT Lawyer with Macroberts on the social media podcast who explains the "wash up" procedure and some of the key aspects of the Digital Economy Act. Valerie explains where she foresees issues with the act and explains a little about the procedure for making future amendments.

Thought you might be interested in listening to this.

Social media podcast 18 here.

Thanks
