Hey Mairin! I'm hoping that I'll actually make it to Belfast this week - jury duty means that I may have to cancel the whole thing. I'll only be able to let you know Wednesday evening how things are going. Hopefully you'll still be OK that morning or even early evening.

Hey Merry Mairin,
sorry haven't replied to your post.
I think the answers are:
a) interesting times are times to prove oneself, blessing or curses are from belief systems too fragile and fatalistic for me to decide which.
b) Digital Immigrant, agree about the nomadic nature of it all- mongoliaesque more than wild west shooting injuns style tho.
c) salesperson, but I think I have a little of all of them to work well, lately been a bit of a maven. You could be my connecting mentor;) always looking to learn.
Hugs;)

Viral Video Sneeze

One of my current obsessions is viral video. I've come up with an Eedjits Guide about the kind of videos that tend to induce an online sneezing fit. These usually are:
*clip
*comic
*chops up
*current
*camp
*cheesy
*controversial
*cute

May you live in interesting times.

I thought 38minutes might be more fun if we all got to know each other. So to kick things off a few questions?
(1) Is it a curse or blessing to live in interesting times?
(2) Do you think of yourself as a digital native or immigrant?
(3) If you had to… Continue

Flash Kiss Mob

A Smog (Mob Snog) took shoppers by surprise in Dublin's Ilac Centre last weekend. A group of actors came together to bemuse Dublin's public with 'Kiss' – a one off flash-mob theatrical event created especially for the Ulster Bank Dublin Theatre Festival. Some onlookers… Continue

TV on its last legs

Is 4IP just about social media and web aggregation tools etc or is it also about digital video content made for the web (that's not solely user-created)? I'm hoping it's about both.

With TV on its last legs there is huge potential for fantastic video content made first and foremost for the web and mobile platforms (surrounded of course by social and community features and tools).

I just read an interesting blog cheerily called… Continue
