Should we always choose Martinis?

We are all used to the notion of the internet supporting the Martini effect ie. the ability for the internet to allow users to access or perform a task any place, any where, any time. For example a student can access their e-learning materials at 5pm or 3am, a business man can access his logistics data in Manchester or Montreal, etc.
