I meant to post this a while back - the following video is an indication of the Scottish appetite for start ups and the investors circling.
I had an interesting conversation with an investor recently who was very very keen to invest in excess of £4m but was struggling to find a business in his area of expertise with a proven business model that would give him a better return in 3 years than if the money sat in a high interest account - an interesting paradox where there are people desperately l… Continue

"The Interactive Mortgage Guide is designed to take advantage of the multi-touch capability of Microsoft Surface to help you make sense of the variety of mortgage options available. The Natural User Interface (NUI) enables us to giv… Continue

The Festivals are really excited about connecting with 4iP to discover some great indies/companies/developers with brilliant ideas that make the most of, or introduce new people to, the Edinburgh Festivals. Together, we hope to do more to simplify the experience (at the last count, devouring all the Festival brochures required 72 hours, about 3 highlighter pens and high levels of excel competency); aid navigation to and through the Festivals (how to decide what to go and see? how can we unearth… Continue
Just a wee note to say a massive thanks to all those who attended the Edinburgh Twestival. We made a HUGE wadge of cash (£3500) for Charity Water and had a great time too.
Special thanks go out to all our sponsors (Blonde, Big Mouth Media, Amber Green and Breeze Media), to the musicians (Peter Gregson, Plum, Epic26), to people donating prizes, to event planners Eventi Verdi, PR gurus Hot Tin Roof, tech wizardry from Edd Hannay, and to all those that helped… Continue

While this sounds very simple, I was amazed at how productive this time was – I made some really good connections and found everyone around me doing the… Continue
