Mapping Digital Scotland

Was looking a few weeks back at how successfully this site has grown (well done Darcie) and thinking to myself that it would be really nice to be able to see at a glance where everyone is geographically.

As Project Manager for TRC media’s… Continue

Digital Rights and Wrongs

Tuesday 14th July 2009

TRC is holding a short series of Legal Advisory Workshops (THE LAW SERIES) to guide creative digital businesses through the issues and the… Continue

VOD

Was just reaquainting myself with an old source of some great pieces about video on the web and mobile and thought I'd post it here for anyone interested. Streaming Media publish their US edition online including a great 2009 Sourcebook - there is also a European Version for those of you flush enough to subscribe. I've found their articles and case studies really useful. Worth a look. http://www.nxtbook.com/nxtbooks/streamingmedia/sourcebook09/ Grrr.. I can't get links to work for some reaso… Continue

Tuna in the Valley - Better Late than Never?

Anyone who enjoyed my brief reports from TRC media's Cross Creative's foray into Silicon Valley and was left salivating for more might also enjoy Andrew Crawshaw's blogs from the trip. Streets of San Francisco

And so Cross Creative's adventures in Silicon Valley draw to a close... What have we learned? Immeasurable lessons in digital innovation, positive approach, anything is possible, not to be afraid of failure, we've met some incredible people and for a trip that was learning focused I sensed more than a few connections that will I'm sure become working relationships. On a personal level I learned not to promise to blog about a trip unless you bring a laptop! Doh! Long, long days and nights spen… Continue

Cross Creative in the Valley

Day one What a city! It really is like a movie set. Steaming manholes... down and outs that eclipse Glasgow's winos and seem to have inherited a creative approach to begging that truly befits their surroundings. "You'll have trouble topping that one Carole" I'm delighted to report was the toast as we celebrate the closure of day one by clinking glasses full of the local Gin 'Junipero' in the Bloodhound Bar on Folsom. The first fabulous day of our trip closes with a meeting that… Continue
