You Could Start A Fight In An Empty House

Glasgow born, New York based singer Angela McCluskey, in this age of cyber collaboration, has thrown down the sparkly gauntlet and challenged her social networking friends and fans to create a music video for her new single, 'End of My Rope' taken from the uber Glaswegian sounding, 'You Could Start A Fight In An Empty House' album. Aye, you can take the lassie out of Glasgow...

Given the cosmopolitan bi-coastal cultured lifestyle Ms McCluskey now lives, I thought if creatives in New York and Los Angeles are clamouring to work with her, let's see what those in Scotland on 38 Minutes and Central Station can do. So I contacted Angela last night and got her go ahead to post this up.

Angela's most recent single with French electronic music trio,Télépopmusik,'Handle With Grace' was created in collaboration with the LA based teenage music and design collective, 'Young Replicant'. The video won the Best Live Action award at the UCLA Campus 'Sweet 16th Annual Shorttakes Student Film Festival' for directors Alex Takacs and Joe Nankin.

The video is truly a thing of beauty and compliments Angela's soulful voice superbly..

The song, 'End of My Rope' can be heard here, where Angela has edited some of her own drawing and photographs to the music.

This is a blank canvas for creatives on 38 Minutes to work with one of the most compelling singers of our age. Have a listen, open your ears and let me hear your thoughts on images. For those interested message me here and I'll start the ball rolling.

cheers

Mark
