Our aim right at the beginning of starting commissions on 4iP arguably revolved around two things: keeping the 'rules of engagement' as tight and clearly understandable as possible while also encouraging ideas to be submitted first, questioned later. That said, many of you are emailing, calling and popping in to unpack the (too?) succinct page on the formal 4iP website.
Every Wednesday in the run up to Christmas I hope to expand on what this Digital Commissioner, at least, would do if he were coming up with an idea for a 4iP commission. I'll be pulling on some of the great minds I've been picking lately. I hope that in revisiting the likes of
Paul Arden and
Marty Neumeier,
Alan Fletcher and the
geniuses in Smile In The Mind, and looking back on some great
TED Talks. In writing those posts, I'll come across more of the things that have been rankling you, our potential indie partners, and together we can maybe find some ways to overcome them.
Here's a flavour of what's to come:
The First Post:
We're from the internet and we're here to help
2nd Class Post:
Find your Zag: Be The First (or the Second) but not the Third
The Triumvirate Colon
A good idea's worth nothing unless it's shared: Inside IP
The 4th Protocol:
Written persuasion or the Face-to-face pitch?
The Fifth Element:
What happens when I press 'submit'?
The Sixth Sense:
?
