A Social Network for Creative Pioneers...

Here's a lovely project from SUSO: http://www.susoproject.com

The SUSO Project aims to "...bring creative and determined people together to create something amazing. People with unlimited imaginations and skills who come from everywhere, making the project's collective thinking uniquely global. Basically, we want to create a social network for thinkers and doers. The dream is to grow The SUSO Project into a creative network where the user’s imagination, creativity and knowledge is multiplied through collaboration with others. We want it to be a place where a variety of creative skills and passions can collide to make 'stuff' happen".

So far this morning I've read about projects ranging from Puppets for Peace, to a global map of 'naughty places', to a mass global capturing of the reality of urban spaces by the people that live there... To kick things off, the SUSO Project is funding a selection of ideas and projects posted on the site, offering up to £10,000 to bring them to life. The closing date is January 31st 2009.

SUSO have "No Can't Do" as a trademark. Brilliant.

SUSO are also supportive of a wonderfully geographical project called URBAN EARTH, which involves journeys across urban areas recorded visually (and in other ways)
The project instigator Dan Raven Ellison has already walked across London, Mexico City, Mumbai and other places... http://www.urbanearth.co.uk
