AmbITionScotlandlogoIt's with a big "WHOOOT!" from me that Scottish Arts Council is announcing the launch of AmbITion Scotland today. This is a great chance for Scottish cultural organisations nationally to get involved with a programme that will encourage and support digital development!
AmbITion Scotland will be similar to AmbITion in England, and its with thanks to Arts Council England that we've been able to share so many of the resources, assets and IP. Digi businesses, we'll need your support and expertise, so do get in touch with .

excellent and timely given the Arts Council of England's digital report which demonstrates the low level of digital engagement with audiences of its Regularly Funded Organisations. The Ofcom report published last week also shines a searchlight onto the changing habits of consumers as far as culture is concerned, describing the progress towards the tipping point where consumers chose digital over analogue, on line experiences over off line broadcasting and entertainment. Nearly half of people will cut back on nights out – which includes visits to theatres and concerts and nearly one third will cut back on music, books and DVDs, one fifth on newspapers and magazines rather than cut back on internet and communications. In the ‘what would you miss most?” question, NOONE wold miss most listening to music on the hifi (as opposed to 18% in 2005).

Thanks for that Stuart - I think there are great opportunities for AmbITion Scotland and 4iP to look at together - I'm starting the discussion with Ewan and Claire McArdle next week :-)
