Joe Tree is one half of Leith startup Blipfoto, the daily photo journal site which has attracted thousands of dedicated 'blippers' and blippettes from around the Globe.
As the signup notice informs you:
"Blipfoto is a daily photo journal which lets you publish one image each day, starting on the date you sign up. Some people use this as a challenge to take and publish one picture every day of their lives, others just add entries as and when they feel like it, leaving empty days in between.
"How you use it is up to you, but we do insist that any photographs you upload are taken on the date you're uploading them against. That means if you upload an image and date it 1st January, the picture must have been taken on 1st January."
The service is entering a phase of rapid growth at the moment, with each innovation marking a concerted effort to make Blipfoto the best place on the web for anyone with a digital camera, and to get the
Blipfoto app onto every iPhone on the planet. They've just launched
a new API, too, which allows anyone to make cool stuff out of the high quality images published by members.
He's also building a ukulele, too. As you do.
Joe admins the
Blipfoto group on 38minutes, which is where you'll find a live stream of Blipfoto content (and all the cool kids, naturally).
"I do dip in and out of other groups," says Joe, "but I find the discussions started on other members' blogs the most engaging."
