For anyone who didn't manage to make it along to the recent FilmCamp 10, at the GFT, here's a short film that captures the vibe. Thanks to the team at Cardonald College for pulling this together and to event supporters Creative Scotland, Skillset and Glasgow: Scotland with style.

Hello Jen/Arvind et al

I really enjoyed the event over all.

I walked away with some valuable knowledge and worthy contacts, and for a FREE event you can't really say fairer than that.

I've since contacted people at Muvizu to collaborate/create some break-up animations for my website So You've Been Dumped.

And I ended up applying for Skill Set funding for a Final Cut Pro course at Cardonald College so I can better my skills at video making / editing.

Not all of the speakers were to my taste/interest (e.g. I've no real interest in games), but then I wouldn't expect to have all of them be relevant to my interests.

Incidentally, I also made a friend or two at the event. Yay.

So as I say, over all, I was quite pleased with FilmCamp10 - it ended up being an afternoon well spent.

Thanks and I look forward to the next one.

Thea

Hi Fraser, can you tell us a little more about why you were disappointed?

This is the first event of its kind - a completely free-conference designed to facilitate the exchange of knowledge between film/digital innovation/web technologies and we've had, on the whole, a lot of very positive feedback from those who attended.

We're looking at how to develop this and would be interested to hear any suggestions or ideas you have about what you would like to see from an event of this type in the future.

Best wishes,
Jen
