Those pleasant coves at The Commonty, the blog for creatives in the South of Scotland, through the medium of their local newspaper, have discovered the visual imaginations of the three short listed candidates for the grand Icon in waiting for the Scottish-English border, the Gretna Landmark.
Working in partnership with renowned landscape architect, Charles Jencks, the triumvirate of Cecil Balmond, Ned Kahn, and Chris Wilkinson have been briefed with identifying an environmental land art form which encapsulates the meaning of Border, identifies Scotland and exudes instant icon appeal.
Here's what the collaborative process has produced.
