My first Storify story

I've been packing a Storify beta invitation for a wee while and finally got to have a quick play with it.

Storify is an application that makes it easy to create stories from, and distribute stories through, the social web.

It takes away all the hassle involved in grabbing, scraping, editing and resizing social content for use on standard blogging platforms. For someone who likes to post the occasional picture essay it looks like a Godsend.

My first story ,featuring New Twitter and Muttley, is a bit of frivolous mucking about on my part but it served to prove that the user interface is intuitive and quick.

It also allowed me to road-test a neat feature that kills two birds with one stone. As you prepare to publish, Storify invites you to notify the people whose content you've featured thereby making it easy to be courteous and observe best practice, whilst also creating a built-in word of mouth mechanism.

I like it.

There is the option to embed your Storify stories on any platform that supports Javascript. Unfortunately it appears that 38minutes/ning isn't one of them, so you'll need to READ ALL ABOUT IT HERE.
