Attended the publication and launch of this today in Ofcom's Glasgow office. The full report can be found here

21% watch TV online, 26% have a DAB digital radio, 7% have watched catch-up TV - less than half the UK average - etc. I'm sure there are points of interest for most of the 38 Minutes community!

Personally, I'd like to know - the statistic which mentions that Scots on average watch 4.1 hours of television per day - do they actually watch it, or does the TV simply remain switched on and looked at now and then? And wonder, as more stuff is watched primarily on the web, will Ofcom (or BARB) be able to capture this for Scotland?

Interesting to see Aberdeen leads the UK in VOIP use, Dundee appears to buy more "media bundles" than anywhere else, and Glasgow is tops for pre pay phone purchase in the UK mainland.

Some interesting nuggets of information which could be big market opportunities in future; I just need to read the report through and find out...

I must admit, and I've already been shamed for it, but I watch about that much tv a day. Usually on from 7:30 - 11 or 12pm and usually involves watching pre recorded shows on V+ (even if it's only a 15min delay) to avoid commercials.

Granted I'm mulit-tasking most of the time while the husband is telling me to put my computer away - at least I haven't had to admit yet how many hours I spend online.

having ploughed my way through the 334 pages of the main report on the web and 117 pages of the Scotland report, I agree these is lots of good information but fear that this is lost in the mist of the data, the restrictions on data sample and the conclusions drawn in the Scottish report - my views

They watch it of course especially Channel 4 in prime-time where Scotland remins the highest per-average viewership in UK.
