Okay… since nobody else has gone there, I just want to pay my respects to Oliver Postgate who passed away yesterday. Oliver along with Peter Firmin created many of the animated television programmes that I adored when I was a child.

Let’s hope that one or two 38minuters can emulate his passion, and deliver compelling innovative entertainment memories for the next generation.

Well… for what it’s worth, I wasn’t a big Bagpuss fan, but I particularly liked the soup dragon and the sky-moos. And to this day, after a couple of shandies, I can still be persuaded to do a half-decent impersonation of Ivor getting up to speed.
