Back with a few more ideas to keep in mind when writing a blog post.
Tip 4: Keep it simple. Ensure you make the topic of your post clear in the beginning, i.e. state your intentions. This way, readers can decide whether or not the post is right for them.
Tip 5: Be opinionated. State your viewpoint and stand behind it. People aren't reading your post to find out what someone else thinks or to read a paraphrase of another blog article.
Which brings us to
Tip 6:Hyperlinking.

There is a debate about hyperlinking amongst us here at 38minutes, but in regards to it, here are a few key times you should use a hyperlink:
- When you discuss a person or company, it's good for you to provide a quick & simple way for your readers to find the person or brand.
- When you are discussing a book, film, show etc.
- When you post something by someone else, link & give them credit.
*You can also make an image a hyperlink by selecting the images code and choosing the insert hyperlink (chain) button.
However, don't let linking replace your ideas. If discussing a topic, explain the jist of the idea and your point of view. If you simply link to what your referencing you are increasing your chances of losing readers early/mid post and maybe not coming back.
Basically, don't let hyperlinking take over your opinion+ on the topic. Remember, that's why people are there, to read what YOU have to say.
Keep these six tips in mind and you're you're on your way.
