Our Services

Feasibility Study Grants:

Perhaps you are considering developing your first native iPhone application or you have an new e-learning tool that you would like to develop but are unsure of the viability of your concept from both a technological and business perspective... If so our feasibility study grant is perfectly designed to help your company overcome any of these technological barriers you might be facing by leveraging the expertise from within our partner universities. The grant provides up to £5000 of match funded support and your contribution can be either financial or “in kind” and thus can include nothing more than your time, resource and/or equipment costs. The £5000 grant will be paid directly to the research institution involved on satisfactory completion of the exercise. Typical outputs from feasibility studies will include a feasibility report, proof of concept, technology demonstrator or a combination of the above.

Free information, advice and guidance:
This is flexible service which can last 30 minutes or 10 days as the need demands. Our conveniently located team of in-house technologists are able to provide free and impartial advice on how to adopt a wide range of technologies. Typically we are asked to investigate and assess various tools and technologies for a particular concept that a company has. This could involve helping you to identify a suitable host and platform for a new social networking concept, how to add the ability for users to vote on your website or how to enhance the search facilities on your website. Or perhaps you are looking for some quick tips and guidance in terms of search engine optimisation (SEO) or setting up an e-commerce site. Irrespective of the need, a 30 minute call to the Centre may save you from making an expensive mistake.

If however you think you need help with a larger project such as transferring data from an old legacy system to a new system or moving from a static site to a dynamic content managed site – our technologists can research the various options and produce a report or 'How to' guide to assist you.

Whatever your requirements, all the services we undertake are completely confidential and there are absolutely no commitments on your part - we are simply here to help.
