Whilst wandering around the Internet at lunchtime today I came across an interesting article by Cameron Chapman discussing
the future of the Web and where it will be in 5 years time. Some of the items on the list include micro payments for quality content, more semantic content (and apps that expoit them), augmented reality in web apps and the reduction in importance of search engine optimisation - to name but a few items on the list.
While there is some debate in the feedback comments that the 5 year timescale is a bit over estimated given the rapid nature of web and technology development these days, there is certainly some interesting food for thought in this article as well as some links to some other interesting resources.
