It was a night of celebration for Scotland's digital sector last night, as the prestigious Bafta Scotland Awards recognised the abundance of talent and innovation across the genres.
Tern Digital's
KNTV Sex, in association with Channel 4, won in the Children's category. The interactive education programme shows that a touch of imagination combined with strong animation and intelligent scripting can create educational programming that is both informative and fun.
Meanwhile,
Blipfoto.com took home the prize for best website, beating off stiff competition from the BBC and the Work Academy. Founder Joe Tree drew a laugh from the audience when he 'blipped' them from the stage, prompting a deluge of congratulatory messages on the site.
The Games category was won by Flock! from
Proper Games, flying the flag for Dundee's internationally-renowned gaming sector. Flock! is a light-hearted sandbox puzzle game featuring UFOs and a crazy landscape.
One of the big highlights of the night was the award for Outstanding International Achievement - Digital Media, presented by Channel 4's Director, Nations and Regions, Stuart Cosgrove. The award celebrated the incredible career of Dave Jones, founder of Realtime Worlds, who Stuart said "is to gaming what Martin Scorsese is to film".
