Why am I doing this?

Here's a brilliant post from Tim O'Reilly on his blog.

He's writing it to figure out why he does what he does, what guides him, what his values are.

A couple of quotes that stood out for me:

"I want to remind you that financial success is not the only goal or the only measure of success. It's easy to get caught up in the heady buzz of making money. You should regard money as fuel for what you really want to do, not as a goal in and of itself."

And, from business author Jim Collins: "Have big, hairy, audacious goals"

It's a good read, go scope it out.
